“New Generation” KG25/KM25
This model type is part of a range of bowl-lift models, all of which share the same basic internal design: an enclosed motor with a splined drive shaft, electronic speed control, and an all-metal gear train enclosed within a transmission housing. Example model numbers include: KG25, KM25, KB25, KV25, KF26, KL26, KP26, KT26.
The KG25 and KM25 models are branded “Professional HD” and “Commercial” (confusingly with the KSMC50S “Commercial” K5 variation). They differ from other “new generation” mixers by their use of a narrow 5-quart bowl which is wider than the original K5 bowl, but narrower than the bowl used in the KV25/KP26 model type.
